You can save it as an html, a complete web page. You will lose any advanced functions though working offline. It will only be a static page.

Here is a way that will actually work:
Open the map page in Internet Explorer. Go to the favorites menu, and select "Add To Favorites"
In the dialogue box that comes up, you may choose to change the name that it is saved under. Right above the name box, is a checkbox titled "Make Available Offline".
Now, it may give you some more options, but most likely, it will synchronize, and then it will work while offline.

The only way to get internet info without being connected is by downloading site information to your computer where it is stored for later access. It will not be realtime but will work for all of your maps - try it. You can store content by adding it to favorites - when you are adding to favorites be sure to check the "make available offline" option. It will store the content locally as it is at the time you save it. You can even rename your favorites (by right clicking) - now you can nme each fave by its "map" name. Try it!

Open up all the maps in browsers when you leave the house. Hibernate your laptop instead of shutting it down. When you need to access any map, start your laptop, look for it and hibernate it again.
Note that if you shut it down you wil loose the data. All browsers will close. Hibernate the laptop and you should be fine
