I'm assuming this is a wireless network card. You might have to go into the router itself and turn on the wireless, sometimes when a router is installed the wireless gets turned off to help protect your security and can be turned on at anytime when you want it. If it gives you the network is unvailable then thats a good sign cuz now its looking for a network and this is where the wireless network router i mentioned earlier comes into play. You will have to get the ip address of the connection of your computer to the router, usually 192.168.0.1XX go into internet explorer or any web page and type in the numbers without the individual address so in my case i have 192.168.0.101 so the numbers i need is 192.168.0.1 and thatll put me into the router system and then find the wireless and turn it on or crank up the power on the transmiter antenna to get more coverage put not to high to allow your neighbors the access to your internet. Good luck.

Try the following steps:
1. Go into Control Panel and go to Add\Remove Hardware.
2. Uninstall the network card.
3. Shut off the pc.
4. Now open the pc case and pull out the network card.
5. Boot the pc back up.
6. Write down the model number of the network card just in case. You may need it later. The model number should be on the card.
7. After the pc completely boots up, shut it down again.
8. Reinsert the network card, replace the cover, and boot the pc back up.
9. Hopefully Windows will find the network card and reinstall the correct drivers.
10. If you still have problems, you will need to get on another pc that has an Internet connection, and go to http://support.dlink.com/downloads/ and locate the model number for your network card.
11. Download the latest driver for Windows Vista and burn it to a cd or a flash card that you can transfer to your pc.
12. Run the driver program on your pc and follow the prompts. That should do it. Good luck.
