A couple of things:
1. Put Elmer's all glue on the area and let it dry. Then, peel off the glue. That will sometimes get the splinter out.
2. Use peroxide to see if that will bubble the splinter out.
3. Put some neosporin on it, bandage it, and give it a few days to see if it will "fester" itself out.
4. Go buy some Mr. Numby pads or an equivalent. They numb the area temporarily and resemble a wet nap. Rub the pad on her foot, let it numb the area, then take it out with the needle a tweezers routine.
5. Go to the doctor and let him or her pull it out.

we use ora-gel rub a little bit on the splinter area or let her do it. (sometimes if you numb her tongue so she can see that the gel works it helps ) after the area is numb tell her to sit really still and hold her doll or teddy or daddy's hand and prick the skin and see if you can tease the splinter out. As mean as it sounds sometimes you just have to hold them down and do it even if they scream. If this is what you end up having to do make sure you have a popcycle or ice cream reward for bravery. Sometimes kids will let their daddy's do things they will not let their mommy

Get a slip of aloe vera plant , break, open and put the leaf on the splinter and put a bandage over it.
Or u could take a piece of raw potatoe and wrap it on it, that will draw it out.

I don't think there is any kind of a "planless" way to get it out, but you may want to try and use a pair of fingernail clippers to try and "clip" the skin just enough to make a opening big enough to be able to get the sliver out, and then cover it up with a band-aid. She's probably not going to like it, and put up a fuss over it, but maybe you can "bribe" her with some kind of a "treat" if she can be a "big girl" long enough for you to get it out.

Sink her foot in warm water and see if that softens up the area so it doesn't hurt as much. If she's a good sleeper, take it out during the night. Atleast, thats what my parents did.

Sometimes if it's very small, place "scotch tape" over the area and leave it on overnight, often it will draw out the sliver painlessly.

this site might help...
Try putting some ice on the area first, to numb the skin if you have to go digging for it....it will at least ease the discomfort
