It depends, but I really feeel sorry for kids with stupid, made up names that their parent's thought were cute, and they wanted to be "different". I want to tell those parents to change their own freakin name if they like it so much and want to be "different". Even worse are the traditional names but with "unique" spellings, like James (Jaimz). Are you kidding me. His entire life, the kid's name will be James J-A-I-M-Z-he'll have to spell it. Kids are human beings, not puppies. Resist the urge to use the opportunity to fullfill your creative desires by giving them some goofy name you love or made up. Thanks for listening!

This question is vague. The answer depends solely on the name in question. I don't know any boys with girl's names, but I've known a few with both-sex names, like Jody and Chris.
I think girls with boys names are cute. The most beautiful wonderful special fantastic kid that ever walked the earth is a little girl named Rhyan (pronounced Ryan). Rarely does anyone tell her that's a boy's name, and when they do she sets them straight - "No, I'm a girl, so it's a girl's name."
Smart kid. ;)

I really don't think that there are that many kids that make fun of girls with boy's names. Now boys with girl names is probably a different story!
I went to school with a girl named Bobbie & one named Billie but no one ever bugged them about their names, And my daughters went to school with a girl named Charlie, but she never had any problems with it.
But I do think that it would be different for boys, of course it would depend a lot on what the name is too.

I feel sorry for them. I also feel sorry for kids who's name is (for example) Riley. This is true. I was in a class of 30 kids with 2 Rileys, 1 female, 1 male. We had the role taken every class and their last names began with the same letter (the role was read in alphabetical order). Our teacher said "Riley" and they both said almost at the exact same time "here" and "yeah". Talk about embarrassing. I wouldn't want someone of the opposite sex having the same name as me!
I also know a couple who named their daughter Morgan Michael because they were both hoping it would be a boy and name the child "Michael". They were dissapointed when they learnt that they were expecting a girl (It was their first child as well...not as though they already had 4 daughters)!

It depends on how feminine or masculine the name is. I feel way more comfortable naming a girl with a boy's name rather than the other way around. I named my daughter Jordan, and that was over 20 years ago when it wasn't common at all. Nobody ever teased her and she likes the name!

it really depends on the name.. like a girl with the name devin isnt that bad but a boy with the name sharon or a girl named brandon is kinda embarrassing.....personally i think its harder for boys to have girl names because i could see them getting teased more than a girl with a boy name..but either way it doesnt matter what name you have everywhere you go there is always going to be someone thats going to make fun of you whether its because of your name or anything else about you but as long as ur comfortable with yourself then that's all that matters

A girl named Derek would be strange, but I think the generic names, like Taylor or Jordan, are good.
But yeah, a girl named Derek would definately get teased.

It depends on the name
I think some unisex names are cute, and some boy names on girls are cute: Jordon, Shae, Charlie, Dani, Andi are cute
Not cute: Logan, Hunter, Peyton
I think it's worst to be a boy with a girl name: Hayley, Bailey, Harley, Ashley, Jody and Stacey
Congratulations
