Buy DDR 400 for best performance.
Preferably made by Kingston.
Cost would be around Rs. 3000/- with lifetime warranty.

512mb is a million/2 of a a million.0gb, or a million.0gb is 1024mb making it double the 512mb card. the 512 could be sufficiently enormous for a telephone except you're placing a ton of songs on it, yet you are going to be waiting to get a minimum of 50 songs on the 512mb card

What you want to do is MATCH the memory chip to what you already have in the system unless you want trash it. To find out what you have in there just get into the BIOS (setup) and look up the info for your current memory. Don't change anything. Buy Kingston - they have been around forever and you can buy it on teh web. They will probably have your computer model in the database anyway and likely be able to give you exactly what you need based on your system. They have good prices - probably $25 - 35 for waht you need.

A hot web site is TIGER DIRECT, they usually have great values, (www.tigerdirect.com) prices vary from $49 to $89, but if you can afford it go with the 1GB card I just upgrade yesterday (sell at OfficeMax for 1GB started today). Another good site is Crucial.com. But the best price was Tiger Direct.
