In the sense of choosing our battles to fight, this one is better left alone.

You can, but it would never pass. People eat meat everywhere. You either have to sit somewhere else to eat, or kick back and watch them eat KFC and Burger King.
In a society that eats meat for nutrients (such as protein and many other vital vitamins and minerals), you are pretty much forced to watch people grind up the flesh of animals with their teeth from the day you are born.
I know people that are Vegans (or Vegetarians) which have friends and/or families that eat meat, and they don't mind. Get over it.
By the way, nobody is forcing you to watch people eat stuff. Just go somewhere else to eat. And the animals are not innocent. They are dead, cooked in some way, are in pieces, and can't feel a thing.

The first thing you need to do is learn the difference between 'write' which is something you do with paper and a pen or pencil, and 'right' which means, for your purpose the legal authority. But what you mainly need to learn is that you have the right to eat what ever you want and so does everyone else. What you DON'T have the right to do is tell anyone else what they have the right to eat. We live in a free societyand can do what we please so long as it isn't contrary to the law of the land. I've been all over this old world and eaten or seen eaten a lot of atrange things. Believe me, ANYONE who says "I would never eat such and such" has never experienced hunger. They may have been hungry for a short span of time but they've never been without food until they lost half or more of their normal body weight and really experienced "hunger". When a person suffers from real honest to God hunger their dislike for any thing which can be ingested is totally forgotten. Survival by relieving the gnawing pangs of hunger is all that concerns them.

If you are actually being forced to watch people eat meat at work, then you have a right to protest. Talk to your HR rep. However, odds are what you mean is that you don't like watching people eat meat, and you don't feel like making the effort to avoid watching.
So your voyeurism is the real issue at hand now isn't it?
The question comes up then, why do you enjoy the feeling of not enjoying watching people eat meat? Isn't that a little sick?

Being a minority you have every right to file any kind of complaint that you want. Stating that you are a vegan however just shows a complete lack of intelligence and common sense (must be that lack of animal protein in your diet that is causing your brain to shrivel up).

Well first you would have to fight off well fed meat eaters and that wont ever happen.
How about you shove your veggies up your as*, then the crap coming out of your mouth might make sense!
We should have to watch vegans children and pets uffer for thier parents stupidity. Meat is why you are alive on this earth at this moment. you are on one high horse to think you can defy the laws of nature.
Those pointy teeth you are born with, remeber before the dentist grinded them down flat......those are for cutting meat moron.

then go somewhere else to eat.
You don't have the right to to force your belief system on others or change the habits of your co-workers just because you made an unusual life choice.
If you were gay
would you file a grievance because you have to watch straight couples hold hands at lunch time?

That's crazy! everyone is entitled to an opinion, or way of life. Just because I choose to support America, and buy American cars, can I file a lawsuit against anyone who buys Toyota??
