My friend is selling her 1996 honda accord for $1500 dollars it has about 169,000 miles on it. The car seems to be in good condition, but she says it has alot of miles on it..and thats why she's selling it cheaap. Now i know hondas, and her car can run for another 3 years if treated properly. I can see her honda accord going way above 250,000. My question to you is if you think its a wise choice?? This is kinda like my first car. Just wanna know what you guys think. Thanks

It sounds like it has been cared for, and if that is the case it is a fair deal.
It is a perfect first-car.
Think about it this way. If you think it will go another 70,000 miles, it will probably take at least 3 years for you to put that many miles on it (probably more).
Assuming it will last 3 years, or 36 months, and you pay $1500, that is a car payment of under $42 a month.
You will rarely run into a deal where you can have a car payment lower than $42/month. In addition, it will be cheap to insure with liability only.

I would try to go down on the price because of the miles being high.
Honda's are really good cars and can go well above 300,000
mile. My husband has a 1990 Honda accord (2nd Owner)
and has 290,000 miles on it to date.

I think that is not a bad deal and the car would last well above 200,000 miles. If it was me I would offer her 1,050 for it and go up from there. But in the end it is your call and you have to decide what your money is worth.

It sounds like a really good deal, as long as the car has been kept up, and serviced regularly. Just remember, she is your friend, and you probably want it to stay that way.

Reasonable deal - and don't mind mileage. Make sure you replace timing belt every 90,000 mi. Other than that, regular oil changes is about all it needs to run indefinitely.

That car with regular oill changes will go well over 200,000. I'd go with it

i dout a person may buy it cause it could break any time so u never know with those old cars
