I need name ideas, cause i am stumped! I had a new dun quarter horse x Connemara baby on Thursday. he's super friendly, spunky and really out going. Two socks on the same side and half a blaze (literally, it starts half way down his face and goes down to his nose) He's just like "Spirit" in the movie, personality wise. Appreciate any ideas!

Here is a site with lots of names. If you don't see a name in any of the answers here, then check out this link. I not sure if you are looking for a show type name or a barn name. For a colt I like Willy or Joey as a barn name. I kind of fancy the name Digger as well.

If you like Spirit go with it as a stable name but try to come up with something realy catchy for the registered name incorporating bloodline names too.

Well try looking at his papers and seeing what his sire and dams names are/were-- and try to incorperate that into his formal registered/show name. --For example: If the sires name was Misty blue night, make your horses show name be Misty Blue Moon or Misty Pink morning etc...--

As for the barn/every day name, it can be a part of the show name or whatever you like best! For example it could be "Misty" ( part of the show name) or even Spirit.

I saw the movie "spirit" and here are some names that i really like for a horse like that.
--Indie (In-dee)
--Spirit
--Cherokee (chair-oh-key)
--Apache (uh-pah-chee)
--Bonita (Boe-knee-tuh)
--Wings
--Shinto (which is MY horses name =))
--Carmello (car-mell-oh)
--Faith
--Heroe

Just go to the source and ask the horse; he'll give you the answer that we endorse. He's always on a steady course, talk with Mr. Ed!

My neighbor just had a colt that looks pretty much like yours, and sounds the same. She named him Bullet. Maybe that's what you should name him.
