in the game, do you ever get to have a lot that hasnt been built on before you so you can build your own house?
also, is there a way to delete walls from an existing house?

I don't think that you get to build a house in story mode ... though you do get to build walls ... however, you can build a complete house in the freestyle play.
And ...
To remove walls, go to Build Catalog. Under wall section press square to remove walls. Again select by pressing X button and followed by square button.

To answers your first question, you can not build a house in the "Story Mode". But you can edit the house that has been already built.
Yes you can delete walls in houses. You do this by pausing, on the menu, you will see "build mode". Wall section, press the square button. Then you can delete walls/.

no u dont the only way to do that si free play but in story mode no wat u have to do is go to a housse and delete everything and make your own
