I am not trying to get pregnant. I had the Essure procedure done in October and was able to stop birth control pills a month and a half ago and have noticed that last month my sex drive was thru the roof but not so much this month. This month less of a sex drive if any at all and a thicker discharge. Can this take a few months to get all straightened out so to speak? I am 36 and the last time I was off the pill I was 21 so I know age can make a difference but eventually I figure my body will take over and level off. My periods are normal, first month 28 days, this past month 27.

It is in Movies by accident, in response to the person below who this is obviously upsetting. I do pay attention moron. It was put there by mistake and unfortunately not all of us are as perfect as you seem to think you are.

Well OBGYN's usually advise women that it takes about three months after you get off the pill to fully be able to get pregnant again. That is because that's usually the amount of time you need for your hormones to get back to the way they used to be before getting on the pill (which is also your case). The time your body needs to get back to normal ultimately depends on how long you've been taking the pill. It shouldn't take that much longer for you, just be patient! :)
