Yeah, I think I've seen something like that at Home Depot. It's metal and accepts a 4 X 4 post. You pound it into the ground, and slide the wood post into it, put lag screws in it, and go drink a beer. Look in the section where they have mail boxes.

I have had cedar posts for 28 years. Replaced rails, but not posts. Are you sure they used cedar posts, as well as cedar fence? The installer should be responsible for that, if not cedar. I don;t know what the original contract specified.

THE PROBLEM MAY BE THAT THE CONCRETE ANCHORING THE POST IS NOT OF SUFFICIENT HEIGHT ABOVE SOIL LEVEL AND BASIN SHAPED AROUND POST,IT SHOULD FORM ADOME SHAPE SO WATER RUNS AWAY FROM POST ALSO POST SHOULD CONTACT EARTH AT BOTTOM OF HOLE OTHERWISE WATER CANNOT WEEP INTO GROUND AND JUST STAYS IN CONCRETE HOLE AND CAUSES POST TO ROT PREMATURELY EVEN REDWOOD WILL ROT IF NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY

most post will rot in time, wet or dry, there is a fiberglass post that you can cement into ground and have the opion of filling it with another post, or cement, or just leaving it hollow,Homedepo or Lows carries them ,there is also that metal stake that you can cement most time its used for mailbox post,But Im sure it would work, try one if your happy then do the rest same, good luck
