emo stands for emotional. these people are the new goths. drabby clothing...messed up hair...acting like the world is out to get them. these people are often self-cutters, and are never fun to be around.

Emo is a catigorie of a person. Emo is almost similar to gothic.
Emo is more like whereing all or a lot of black. Not really happy at where they are in the world, or have anger towards life. Emo people are often known to Cut themselves. They cut their wrists and sometimes other parts of the body. Emo people are often known to be depressed.

I'm emo/goth sure there's a change and I'm a mixture of each... My dad calls me emish, I'm looking ahead to that to trap on haha... Emos are exceptional the sort rocks in conjunction with the style in track and without doubt emo is created by means of tough lives or pasts nevertheless, this doesn't suggest we're consistently unhappy and depressed we do smile!!

Genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover most of the face at an angle.

An entire subculture of people (usually angsty teens) with a fake personality. The concept of Emo is actually a vicious cycle that never ends, to the utter failing of humanity, and it goes something like this:

1. Girls say they like "sensitive guys" (lie)
2. Guy finds out, so he listens to ***** emo music and dresses like a dork so chicks will see that he is sensitive and not afraid to express himself (lie). He dyes his hair black, wraps himself in a stupid looking scarf, develops an eating disorder, and rants about how "nobody understands".
3. Now an emo guy, he meets Emo chick and they start dating, talking about how their well-off suburban lifestyles are terrible and depressing (lie)
4. Emo guy is just too much of a pussy. His penis is too small, he's too depressed to bathe, and has more mood swings than emo chick, and he doesn't even have a menstrual cycle. Emo chick dumps him, saying "It's not you, it's me." (lie) as she drives off with Wayne, the school jock and captain of the football team.
5. Emo guy goes home and cries, proceeds to write a weak song and strum a single string on his acoustic guitar. Another emo chick sees how he is so in touch with his feelings, and the cycle continues.

This is the sad truth of the emo lifestyle/music, and now that I look at how pathetic it really is, maybe the emos DO have something to cry about!

emo meaning emotional. The dreaded genre which lot's and lot's of people tend to hate. Probably because many artists are whining about their personal life experiences or just acting hardcore when their not, or so i've heard. i say music is music as long as they're singing it for the music and not for the money it's all good to me.

The music style = absolute crap. It's a genre usually called "Alternative" which is really mainstream now, usually including a bunch of prettyboys that think they're awesome. They are really whiny and usually complain like hell. They tend to wear girl pants and cut themselves...

I can't wait until metal comes back. Metal, not Alternative/Rock/Metal, or posers, or stuff like that. I mean in your face, kick your ***, watch me solo METAL.
