I'm not good at knowing what colors I look good in, with makeup or clothes. I want to start dressing up more, for myself and my husband. Can anyone help me out?

I don't like to wear extreme makeup (I go bikeriding and to the beach a lot), but if makeup is your specialty I'd be happy to try out more makeup on a date night or something. If you could suggest anything to do with my hair I would appreciate that too, but clothing and makeup colors are my main concern.

Thanks for any advice. I have a date with my husband tonight so I'll definitly use your tips.

You look like a summer (cool tone skin, fair hair & eyes)
Here's how to determine your skin tone, fyi.

Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

Look at your wardrobe and hold up a few items in different colors against your face. Which ones appear more flattering to you in a mirror with natural sunlight? Which colors are you drawn to?

If you are not sure, ask one or two trusted friends or family members who's style you admire.

Re: Makeup

1) Try deep brown eyeliner against the upper lash line. Brown will make your blue eyes pop.
2) Curl your lashes & apply black mascara for evening or dark brown/black for day time.
3) For evening, a soft, shimmery champagne would be very pretty and elegant.
4) Choose a sheer lipstick. You want something that mirrors your lip color & accentuates it. "Your Lips but Better"
ex. Clinique Almost Lipstick in Almost Red
5) Apply a light foundation or concealer only where needed and a soft, pink blush.

figuring out which season you are really isn't that difficult...

first you have to determine if your warm or cool. there are a few different ways to do this...do you look better in silver? or gold? how about white? or off-white?...black? or brown?

usually (i say usually because there are always exceptions) silver, white, and black are cool tones, while gold, off-white, and brown are warm tones. this should narrow it down for you.

cool seasons are summer and winter. they're usually brighter colors

...warm seasons are spring and autumn. they're usually muted, or pastel.

from the look of it, you could either be a summer or a spring. you definetly need color (blue, pink, yellow, purple) but the tone (bright or muted), i'm not quite sure.

i happen to look good in warm and cool colors, but nothing too bright. winter and autumn seem to look best on me.
