Water can flow uphill in what's known as an Artesian well. Basically an Artesian well is formed by a water source that is on a higher plain than the well itself. The water flows downhill to a certain point then, because of the pressure from the remaining water above, it begins to flow up hill and out of the ground. So yes, water can flow up hill but only under certain circumstances.

By the way any time water flows from south to north does not mean it's flowing up hill.

little known, but in fact water does flow uphills in many places on earth ...and not north-south and south-north..(which has nothing to do with uphill-downhill).....lol
one place is the "mystery spot" in Santa Cruz CA another is in Golden Colorado...about 4 miles from the Coors Beer factory there is a place on Colfax and hwy 6.... head towards the hills from there to find a slope dropping down to violet st. ,stop turn around look uphill and dump water.......you will find that even the city developers discovered this gravitational anomoly as they have put the sewer drain at the top of that hill in front of the Home Depot there...go look for yourselves

Continental glaciers can flow uphill.

It is said that the Mississippi River is farther from the center of the earth at it's mouth as compared to it's source. But, it still flows downhill for it's entire length (the change in gravity due to the oblateness of the earth is much less than the change in kinetic energy due to surface topography).

Water can flow upwards everywhere in the world. While under conditions of electrostatic attraction, water can be made to flow slightly uphill.

Actually, the Nile is one of the only rivers that flow north instead of south (or south instead of north. I forget!). I don't think it is possible for a river to flow uphill, but I guess the Nile counts, doesn't it?

No, of course not, unless you consider geysers to be streams.
