My teacher wants me to determine the distance to Japan from California (going across the Pacific). Then he wants me to determine how long it would take to get there depending on the following speeds:
- 20 mph
-50 mph
-100 mph
-500 mph

Figure out the Straight line distance which would be lets say "X"

then divide "X" by each of those speeds and it will give you the amount of hours it will take.

or Distance divided by rate = time
