People have a problem with Bi-sexuality because they fail to understand how a person can fancy both genders at the same time. they think that everyone should be divided into gay and straight and many people think that bisexuals are only gays pretending to still like the opposite gender so to fit in.
But i ask you this. if gay people are more accepted now and people hate bisexuality, then why would people be bi, if it was a choice? if they could choose, wouldn;t they just be gay, as to avoid the abuse, cos where i live, bi people get more abuse than gay people because narrow ,minded idiots think that bis are lying and cheating and taking their girls etc.
If they were gay, then why not just be gay?
the fact is
they're not
and the rest of the world
should learn to accept it

It's all about people demanding labels and feeling the need to categorize people. Even though bisexuality has a label it's an alien concept as there's so many different forms.
A bisexual has no place in a categorized society, they're not homosexual nor heterosexual so they fit into neither society but just a big void that no-one understands.

Prejudice comes mainly from lesbians as opposed to heterosexuals, I think they're afraid that bisexuals tarnish teh homosexual community with promiscuity which has laid there for decades anyway...

I myself am bisexual even though I haven't had a relationship with a man in years... What you have to remember about bisexuality is, what actually is a bisexual?

Homosexuals and heterosexuals are in two separate groups who are at odds with each other. The concept of bisexuality blurs the boundary between these two groups, and confirms that sexuality exists on a multidimensional continuum rather than two separate categories. Humans like things to be easy, and bisexuality is anything but that.

Militant homosexuals label bisexuals as traitors "for they sleep with the enemy (heterosexuals)". Homophobic heterosexual men feel threatened, regarding bisexuals as "one of them (homosexuals)".

In addition, those who have only ever been attracted to one gender simply cannot perceive the concept of being attracted to both genders. They reason along the lines of "well, if I'm only attracted to one gender, then this applies to everyone else,"

Many years ago I'd get sent a magazine called UBIQUITOUS, which stood for:

"Uppity BIsexual Queers, United In Their Outlandish Unconventional Sexuality"

That's how some "Monosexuals" see us - as outlandish and unconventional. Many people prefer the "safe" and conventional lifestyle. Added to which, what you don't know - you cannot understand.

I must have been very fortunate, though. The vast majority of the mainstream I have encountered are intrigued by - but still accepting of - me and my lack of gender preference among my sexual partners.

each physique is bi-polar one way or yet another. all of us have temper swings. call it bi-polar in case you % yet I see it as yet another conspiracy from pharmaceutical companies to make extra money with the help of merchandising extra drugs to depressed human beings. If a guy or woman shows to many temper swings or "exchange in personalities" the ideal element is to stay away. they might properly be risky to themselves and others. Edit: playstation One guy or woman at the back of many Avatars on Y/A might properly be a demonstration of unstability as properly. beware.

the thing its Bi is the future. deep down every one is Bi. hetro people see others of the same sex and will think to them self he or she is attractive. not neccesarily in a sexual way but they will find something about a certain person. the same goes for gay people they'll see some one of the opposite sex and think they are attractive as well. this is what scares and causes hetro/homo to not understand Bi.

:) Even some gay and lesbian people have difficulty understanding bisexuality. It's not indecision, and it's not promiscuity either.

Those who are in transitition in understanding their orientation sometimes start by saying they are bi. Some are, many aren't, they are really mostly hetero or gay or lesbian. But it's a continuim not a scorecard :)
