although there is a product called belt dressing I do not recommend it replace the belt...
if you do not you're looking for all kinds of trouble depending on which one is squealing ...
also if its a serpenting style belt its even worse yet...
when a belt squeals it is slipping and not turning the
pulley attached to the water pump, alternator, powersteering, emissions air pump etc at the correct rate for vehicle operation...
you can damage the engine by blowing a head gasket or cracking the head from over heating if belt is slipping at the water pump under the right conditions...
or you can cause the vehicles electrical system to seem to have all sorts of ghostly problemsthat seem to come and go... it could buck and stall because running voltage from the belt slippage was bad enough to deprive the computer, ignition and or fuel injection of sufficient voltage to maintain correct function...
if you cause an accident by neglecting your vehicle this way you could be found liable for damages to theo other vehicle too
advice replace the belt ASAP stop being so cheap...
Sorry to sound harsh but if you can't afford to properly maintain a vehicle responably park it ride the bus, ride a bike...
Do not endanger yourself or others on the roads we already have to many unknowingly doing it..
P.S. I had a customer on soc. sec. (very little money...) had me come over to check a brake squal... it wasn't the brakes, was the A/C belt (AC only so i removed it)...
Then told her the other 2 belts needed replaced when next months check got here...
3 months go by belts not replaced... she calls and says her car isn't starting and that her dash lights aren't workking..
battery was discharged because alt belt was slipping instead of maintaining batterys charge enough to start car...
pulled dahs to check gauge bulbs in speedo gasgauge etc... guess what they're all good... reason she couldn't see the gauges at night was battery at idle not producing enough at idle to light dash lights brightly... they do brighten when you rev engine...
she wasted money twice by not replacing th belts... lots of it to get to the dash lights is 1.5 hrs labor... calculate that at even $27.50 hr (which is cheap)
This was labor that wouldn't have been done if belts had been changed as told

If it is a serp. belt, try taking if off and putting it back on in the opposite direction. I have done this many times and sometimes the noise will go away. If it is a v-belt, maybe it just needs tightening.
Personally I would not use belt dressing or anything else on a belt. With belt dressing you will normally end up with more noise than before.

yank it out ,wash it and install it.
if the problem persist,is because the belt is overstretched(sorry)
You want it, more squeaky, pour coca cola on it.
