A mouse needs a cage that it cannot get out of. Usually a glass/plastic cage is needed. Because they have sensitive noses it is not suggested to use wood shavings but insead recycled paper shavings (Carefresh is a great brand). They need mouse food, if you do not have time to go to a pet store, cereals are great, and for treats rasins, and some other fruits are ok (grapes, apples great) don't give them avocado, or banana. A waterbottle is needed, and a place for them to sleep. They need to socialize which can mean a. getting another mouse, b. always play with it. They are very simple creatures make sure though that no other predator can get to them, that they cannot get out of the cage, and that it is never EXTREMLEY hot or cold

Make sure it always has water, put food in its food bowl every day if not already there (doesn't need to be full just enough food to eat), the bottom of the cage should have either newspaper or shreded pine [Pine is much better on their feet(do not get cedar, IT CAN KILL YOUR MICE)], clean cage once a week, they should have a wheel because they love to exercise, and anything urinated on should be cleaned in hot soapy water so they will be away from bacteria and, healthy.

get a decent sized cage and put paper or wood shavings in it if you do put wood shavings in make sure you research the type of wood because some are toxic to mice. keep the cage clean a really good way to get them not to pee on everything is when you clean it is leave one thng dirty so they can still smell themselves.it works. put some toys in the cage a peice of wood for them to chew on some fresh water and fresh feed. also mice sleep during the day what i have done is covered out coge up of a nght and i took away the toys and after a week they got used to it they now are awake during the day and asleep at night and plenty of attenton.

i have 3 mice buy a cage and a wheel! don't forget a drink canister or if not a little dish with water get some cereal or some mouse pellets and some shredded paper.

give it mouse food, clean water and clean home. buy a cage at the pet store and get soft bedding to put in it, you may want to get it a wheel or a little house to hid in. also play with it and give it attention.
