As a general rule of thumb, the US Constitution GRANTS rights, it doesn't take them away. The last time an amendment "banned" something (the 18th), it wasn't long before another amendment was necessary (the 21st) to overturn it. That's why all the waffle about Amendments to ban flag-burning or gay-marriage are just political waffle, they would soon be struck down if ever passed, because that's not how America works.

I fully support your right to be vegan if you so chose, but no American should tolerate you imposing your chosen restrictions on other Americans, just as they should not tolerate restrictions of any legal behaviour being placed upon you.

I am a vegan also, but there is nothing in the Constitution that says it's wrong to eat meat, unfortunately.
And you would probably also have quite a hard time convincing meat-eaters that it's wrong. There are many more people who like meat than there are vegetarians.
But you can try to convert some people! Just don't be too extreme about it.

You print up a large sign, then go stand in front of a large stock yard somewhere in the mid west, I am sure you can find one. Then start yelling at the people and try to spook the cattle. You will not have to worry about meat eaters for very long.

keep on dreaming it aint gonna happen, if you don't like that the majority of people eat meat then you just need to leave and go find a deserted island and run it the way you want

I love defenseless animals especially in good gravy

You'd better just leave. Go find some hippie colony that'll take you in. Just curious though, were you planning on imposing this law upon animals as well? I don't think the carnivores will approve.

Well first you would have to fight off well fed meat eaters and that wont ever happen.

How about you shove your veggies up your as*, then the crap coming out of your mouth might make sense!

Hello, I am a member of PETA. People for the Eating of Tasty Animals. It kills me to think that people participate in the innocent slaughter of vegatables. Why can't you just leave them alone and let them grow in peace, sir.

Are you going to try to stop me from enjoying a nice steak?
Forget it. You eat your veggies, and I'll eat my meat and veggies, okay?

You can get a petition signed by a majority of your congressman's constituents, and use it to pressure him into writing the legistlation. It sounds so ridiculous, it just might work, but I'll warn you, they'll take my steak knife when they pry my cold dead fingers from it!

Simply put, you don't, cause pushing your personal choice onto others and putting so many people out of work is not what America's all about, now, is it?
