When i get on the internet, how come all these pop-ups come on my computer?how do i stop this and why is it doing this

You probably have some adware, spyware and trojans.
Go here and download AdAware:

AVG is a free antivirus. It will clean out all the crap adaware might have missed.
You should be back to normal after you scan your entire computer with the 2 software and delete the things they find.
Don't run them both at once, run adaware first because it's faster. Then run AVG.
If you don't already, start using Opera instead of Internet Explorer. You will get a lot less popups and crap with that.

Both are better than internet explorer. Install one after you clean out your computer with AdAware and AVG. And don't go spending any money, everything I've just recommended is FREE and will do the job perfectly.
POP-UP BLOCKERS ARE NOT MEANT TO FIGHT ADWARE! So don't download a bunch of pop-up blockers... kill the pop-ups from the source using what I've told you.

I agree with madagge. I use the spybot to search and destroy my pop-ups; (link below). I also have the yahoo pop-up blocker which seems to help me a lot and its free. Just download yahoo toolbar with pop-up blocker.
