I have a girl hamster, but not a boy and I'm only allowed to have one and I really want my hamster to have babies! I have a friend with a boy hamster but I don't know if my mom would let her bring her hamster to my house. What should I do?

just be happy with what you have. having babies is a lot of work, and what are you going to do if you cant find them homes? just think about it, there's a really good reason as to why your mom is saying no.

if your hamster has babies it will be a lot of work. Your mom knows best... you are probably not prepared for the responsabilities of taking care of 10 or more hamsters. Not only is is sometimes difficult to breed hamsters (it wont happen right away... it takes patience and constant watching as the male may try to harm the female), but also if your female gets pregnant you will need to watch her to make sure she does not have any complications (she could get sick and die)

if you hamster makes it full term you will need to have someone there around the clock to make sure she doesn't die during labour... also if you have bought a male hamster he would need to be moved to a new cage at that point. Also within a few weeks you would need new cages for each hamster as you may not be able to tell their sexes at that point.

If you are not prepared to invest a lot of time, patience and money for cages i wouldn't suggest going with this plan.. Also there is the issue of finding homes for your new hamsters... pets stores do not guarantee a loving home and the demand for small animals is much lower now than it used to be.

Just keep all this in mind before you take a step you may regret.

what sould you do??? LISTEN TO YOUR MOM!!!!
She knows what she's talking about...really(thats a lesson that took me a long time to learn)
YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR HAMSTER TO HAVE BABIES!!!
When a hamster has a litter, they can have up to 22 pups, each pup can reproduce within 6 weeks of being born(and the mother can have another litter a few days after the first) then you over crowd the cage and the bigger ones eat the smaller ones and they fight(it gets very bloody and horrible!!!)
It gets WAY out of control, way too fast...it's a HORRIBLE idea!!!

Besides, how do you think your mom is going to relact when she finds out you got your hamster pregnant....She doesn;t want you to have more than one(probably because she know's hamsters tend to not get along and kill each other)...getting her pregnant would GIVE YOU MORE THAN ONE!!!!!

Why do you want her to have babies in the first place??? Because you're too young?? Just randomly wanting babies is a very bad mind set to be in(no matter if it's for you or your pet)

This answer wasn't to make you mad(even though it more than likely did) but to make you think....which I REALLY hope you do!!!! NO OFFENSE BUT D*MN!!!!!
