No. If you do everything properly, you should not have much energy to work out as well the next day, and that would meant that you wouldnt play as well in a game. In the offseason, maybe, but you always need some sort of rest between workouts, so maybe do three days of working out, rest for a day or two, and then three more days. But this is during the offseason. During the season. only lift when you have time off, like a few days until your next game. Remember not to ever overwork yourself, especially during the season. Your shot might be affected, and you'll probably be tired.

Every day? No.
Basketball players benefit from upper body training with weights, but should not be high weight/low reps. Should be lesser weight/higher reps.
Bikes are good for hoops also. The game is all running.
Basketball is a skill sport which requires as many jumpers and pickup games as you can put time into without risking injury.

It depends if your a guard or F/Center
If your a guard it will better just to lift for your legs and work on your quickness.
Running up a hill & skip hop throu square ropes
If your a F/Center weight room is where you should be Monday Wed & Friday because Tues, Thurs you need to rest but shoot around everyday till the season starts again.
I selpt with my basketball and named it Erin like a girl, if you are a true baller you will eat, sleep and Sh!t basketball.
But you will always need to lift for your legs and run run run!

I think if you want to stay fit, then you should lift waits often. You might get tired so, don't lift weights everyday, maybe every two days.

depends on what type of player you are, a big inside forward probably should concentrate on building muscle mass, while an outside player should lift weights but also improve speed and ball handling skills

As long as you vary your routine. Weight lift upper body today and then lower body tomorrow.

Every other day is better than every day. And you shouldn't lift on the day of a game.
