Just click double on the tray icon (bottom right corner) that show something like hh:mm (ex 6:50) and change to the correct time.
If you cannot find it, right click on the taskbar and choose properties check Show the clock option on Taskbar tab, click OK you'll see the icon. Do the same thing as mentioned above.
If after you restarted your PC and the time went wrong again, then you need to change your PC battery. Ask your vendor to do this if you uncertain with that.
Good luck

right-click on the time and click on adjust date/time. click on internet time. click on change settings. choose the time-nw.nist.gov time server if it is available. amazingly, my new vista-equipped pc was set to update date/time from microsoft and it had the right time and the WRONG DATE! i think uncle sam can keep track of the date via the atomic clock in boulder, colorado.
cheers

Go down to the lower right corner of your screen and RIGHT
CLICK the clock. You will get a pop-up that says "Adjust
day and time" (or something like that.) Click it and change
you r time (and day if necessary--but if your day's okay don't
mess with it). Click OK and you're home free.
