my parents say masturbation leads to stunted growth...shold i stop masturbation or is masturbation ok for me?

There's nothing wrong with it at all. As a matter of fact, it's perfectly healthy and normal, and I'd be worried if you actually weren't doing it at this age. Also, it's said that people who masturbate have more satisfying sex lives when they get older [MUCH OLDER THAN YOU, i.e. don't have sex too soon] because they know what they want and what they like. When you have males in the world who have heights of 6'2 and 6'4, I definitely wouldn't believe it if somebody told me that masturbation stunts growth. If you're going to continue to do it, make sure you're alone and that it's private, so that there won't be arguments or disagreements about it. Just do what you need to do, and you have every right not to talk about it with anyone. It's your business and no one else's.

Masturbation is perfectly normal, however, only you can answer the question if it is morally OK for YOU to engage in. Maybe your parents feel it is religiously wrong -- but again, you are old enough to weigh the do's and dont's and make your own decision. It will not affect your growth. If you choose to masturbate, I hope you will do it in the privacy of your own room/shower, etc.

No, that is totally a myth. I am 14, turning 15 in 1 week. I have done it for about 3 years now, and I have grown atleast 6 inches in that time. Your parents are ether lying to you, or are mis-informed. If you like doing it, than you should continue. BUT make sure you do so Privately!

come i am fourteen I have masturbated since I was 6 of course sperm didn;t came out till I was 12 but guess buddy all those years of masturbating minimum 5 times a week I have a 6 incher and I am the tallest guy in my class baby 6'2 you have ignorant parents in my case I beleive masturbation helped me grow tall and other parts too. well yeah who wants to be out in the open in front of your parents doing that anyway? lol. It is perfectly normal and your parents are just freaking out because their little girl is developing her sexuality and they probably aren't comfrotable wtih it. It's a healthy thing, we've all done it.
