If you have never styled your eyebrows yourself or you are not very good at it then go to a salon. They will make them look perfect and you can keep going back or you can pluck out the new growth at home to keep them looking good.

I have the same problem. There are several things you can do.
1. Pluck them
2. Have them threaded. (I know it sounds painful, but I've heard it doesn't hurt at all.) You can usually get this done at the mall.
3. Use an eyebrow pencil. It seems like it'll make them look thicker, but if you do it right, they'll look thinner. I don't know how that works out. (It seems to go against all laws of physics. But then again, what do I know about physics?) But it does.
One thing you do not want to do is pluck them yourself the first time. I tried that, and it took forever, so I used a razor and cut half of one of them off, and then I tried to even them out, and for the last two weeks of summer I had to wear a beanie to cover my eyebrows, and do you know how hot it gets wearing a beanie in August, especially in California? And then my school didn't allo, beanies, and people were all, "OMG, did you shave off your eyebrows?" and what was I supposed to say to that? Anyways, don't go there.

If you have no idea, i would say to go to a salon where they wax. ask to have your eyebrows done. tell them the shape you would like to have, or ask for their opinion. if you would prefer doing it yourself, use a tweezer. keep in mind what you would like, and pluck from each side a small amount at a time so that if you mess up a bit, you can clean it up easily.
when doing it yourself, your eyebrows should start on the outsides of your nostrils when lined up. take something straight and line it up against your nose to help guide you. for the outside, use the straight object to make a straight line from the bottom of your nose to the outter corner of your eye and carry it out to your eyebrow. this is where your eyebrow should end.
don't thin your eyebrows too much. its better to stay natural if you're a beginner and if you want to change later then thats upt o you. i hope that i have been able to help! ~

I go to a salon that does eyebrows and take pictures with me so they can see what I want. I also have them waxed and then plucked. Works great trust me! The cost has always been $7 to $10. Well worth it! As most people notice your face first.

i had really thick eyebrows too what you do is grow them out completely DONT TOUCH them yourself and when your convinced that there as bushy as they can be find a salon near you that has a perfessional cosotologist that threads eyebrows it is the best thing to do it very precise much better than anything else and if they are professionals then they should work with you to help you find a shape that suits your face.

Have a professional wax and shape them for you the first time. After that if you choose to do them yourself invest in a quality eye brow kit that includes a comb and a good pair of eye brow scissors. I trim mine every 2-3 days and tweeze daily to keep their shape. Sometimes I use a clear mascara to keep them in line.

I had the same problem. What I did was shave my eyebrows off and then pencil them in. My girlfriend thought it looked so good she did the same thing. The next day me and her went out with our homies and they all were like "damn you look good". Since then I always shave off and pencil in.

either get them waxed or threaded...they are both going to be painful but it will get better each time you do it...also use an ice cube over the area after you are done...it will close the pores fast and stop irritation of any sort and prevent breakout in that area.

go to a pro and have them "shape" your brows. i do alot of eyebrow waxes in my salon and use wax, small scissors, brushs and tweezers. don't go just anywhere though, ask around. i have seen some major disaters. quality counts
