I would strongly caution against it. The airbag system must be disabled, first, and I don't think that this is something you want to tangle with. Next, you will have to have a steering wheel puller and lock plate remover in order to do it. Additionally, you'll need a fairly large metric socket to remove the steering wheel nut that is not common for non professionals to own. And you'll need some torx drivers for some of the screws, like the ones that hold the airbag to the steering wheel and the clockspring, etc. I recommend checking for a facility on ASE.com and looking for a Blue Seal rated shop, which is an elite certification given to only 3-4% of the shops across the nation.
