I`d like to see Phil Thompson have a go, he worked wonders at Liverpool when Houlier was ill, he wares his heart on his sleeve. He has so much passion for football. And in any case he can`t don any worse than Steve McClaren!!

Big Sam Allerdyce he has consistantly been the best english manager in the prem. Never has money to spend and seems to bring the best out of his players, and i think he would instill some pride back to the team, the sooner this happens the better, i wouldnt mind the team losing or drawing as long as we tried and they had the pride and conviction to pull on the england shirt and play like they meant it which is something under McClaren we dont have
Or Steve Coppell he has always been a great manager and should be manager of the year this year

If England wants Englishman then the choices are Sam Allardyce, Stuart Pearce and I'm a fan of Glenn Hoddle but I doubt England FA will chose him again.
Though Sven failed with England I still think foreign managers may assist England performance, the likes of Scolari, Hiddink (England should have him) or Ottmar Hitzfield (I'm always a fan of him).

When looking at the list Chelsea have come up with you'd easily understand what Abramo wants from his team and that's what needs to be done for england.
The only british manager that I don't doubt with Alex or else they have to do what Portugal have done by relizing they want to go far so they got a world class coach a coach with world cup experience not just anyone called coach because he's managing his club well but we need a world class coach.
Any coach managing a team which doesn't compete for the premiership or the champions league doesn't deserve to coach the players competing for those competitions.
Thanx!!

Alex Ferguson, Might not get it cos hes Scottish but hes been the best manager for over a decade now and knows the English game and players inside out and most of all been successful.
Why does everyone mention "an English manager" we have one now and he doesn't have a clue what hes doing. We need the best man for the job, I'm sure no one will care about the nationality of the manager if we won the world cup

anyone of the england fans that think they can do better, you, even if you had a coaching team of ferguson, wenger, scolari, capello, it wouldn't make a button of difference, england will not win anything until there is comprehensive change.
