Ok, I have been struggling with this for a while a now.
I recently build a new pc with an eVGA 680i motherboard.

After installing Windows XP Professional and installing all of of the drivers for my hardware I found the volume controls on my keyboard are not working. Just the volume up and down and mute dont work.. the other media functions such as play, pause, stop, back, forward work just fine. (same with my remote) all of these worked fine on my previous PC.

The 680i mobo had on board sounds, so I decided to disable and install my Audigy 2 ZS sound card, after drivers installs and patch updates.. STILL NO VOLUME CONTROLS.

Please help if you can.. any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. There IS sound on my pc.. I just have to control it through the sound control panel in windows which is a real pain.

Thanks in Advance

It's not the keyboard, as I can take it to another PC and it works Just fine. Keep on posting suggestions though, I'm willing to try just about anything at this point.

The most likely problem is with your keyboard. Try blowing out the dust and debris or opening it and cleaning out the key switches. If that doesn't work, borrow a freind's keyboard to see if it works. That will tell you if it is your own keyboard or not.

a similar think of retains occurring with ours. you will desire to telephone up the sky helpdesk and somebody will ask you the style of television and then get you to type in a sequence of numbers into the distant administration. This gadgets the distant administration to the recent television... finally (it took an prolonged time for the helpdesk to locate the main appropriate kind for our television, and that i've got given up attempting now!).
