Gay and Lesbian groups fight for all sorts of freedoms and rights but are so quick to jump over anyone who and a diverse opion that they dont like. Case in point - the coach of the Indianapolis Colts was the guest speaker at a Focus on the Family conference and he said that he was Pro-traditional family and defined marriage as between a man and a woman according to his religious beliefs. Then he was attacked by gay and lesbian groups. Why? He did not say a slur or say he hate gays. He just expressed his beliefs during his personal time with people he had personal interest with. This is american and gay and lesbian groups seem to have forgotten that everyone does have a right to an opinion and a belief

I agree with you that sometimes, we gays are very quick to attack opposite opinions. But in this case, the group Focus on the Family is a group that ACTIVELY promotes homophobia and hateful thought.

That being said, he IS allowed to express his personal opinion. But it doesn't make him exempt from any disagreement with his actions. I believe that if he makes a statement that is his opinion, I am allowed to comment on his statement, which is MY opinion. The principles of free speech allow that discourse, and the disagreement with his position makes me feel that I must defend MY position.

The right to free speech is certainly his! But that doesn't make him exempt from dissention, simply because it IS his opinion.

Not to say i agree with it, but i do understand the reason why:

As a minority group which has been persecuted throughout the history of America until very recently, i think it can be no surprise if they are slightly "on the defensive". They are still not free of persecution now, so it is little wonder that they seek to defend whatever standing they currently have in society. They almost have to be "touchy" about what people say, becuase if they were not, they may unwittingly find themselves back living in a society which persecutes them.

Gay and lesbians are far from the only group who does this. And why use the word "attack". They too are stating their opinion about his opinion, which they are allowed to do. Humans, not JUST gays or lesbians, have opinions and disagree, and speak on it, and argue etc..

Because his opinion is that we should not have the same rights as other people. That may be a valid opinion, but it's also not a good one. How would he feel if I said he shouldn't be allowed to marry for some arbitrary reason?

I believe that Coach positions should be filled by white people. Just a personal belief. Nothing against blacks. Just don't think they should be coaches.

Did that strike you as hate speech?

(I'm not a racist, untwist your nickers... I am making a point).

i in my view do not techniques. as long as they are able to grant a secure, happy, solid and worrying ecosystem then particular, of direction they are able to. Why? because of the fact i don't think of somebody's sexual activities (as long as they are legal) ought to denote what somebody is like as a be certain. i in my view do not care if the mum and dad scream approximately what they do of their "inner maximum existence" from the roof tops, some rapidly couples do this. yet while they are prepared to place the paintings in, then why the heck not?

Bull.
He was speaking from his position, not privately.
Sorry, not going to take his bigotry any more than I'd accept it from anyone else.
Boycott the Colts.

I've been molded into a bitter prick by the majority. So I attack people. I guess it's developmental.
