There is always a chance of pregnancy when you have unprotected sex. So both of you are wrong. Sorry.

Most women ovulate about 14 days after they begin mensus. This means you count 14 days from the first day of your last period. You will notice that the discharge becomes thin and stringy, like egg whites, while you are ovulating. You can track your cycles and find out exactly when you are ovulating at the website below. The safest days for having intercourse are determined by your own cycle and can't really be determined in a generic manner. I suggest visiting the website below and tracking your period for a month (at least) or two (better) to get a good idea of when you are the most fertile and what days are safest for you to have intercourse without becoming pregnant.

Since there aren't many people in this world whos period is on the 28 day cycle....you can get pregnant at any time even during your period...sorry but if you are asking this it means that you are too young...AND if for some odd reason you have the 28 day cycle period it would be on day 14.....

The truth is always protect yourself - no days are safe! There are days that you have greater risk for preg., but every woman is different. Regardless to what some think, you can also get pregnant while on your period.....

Well, before your period, the egg's there, you can get pregnant.
During, the egg can still be there depending, and you can get pregnant.
After, there probably isn't an egg there anymore, so you're "safe" compared to the other 2. But of course, no guarantee.
But just use condoms and other contraception.

The egg is being released *during* the period, so theoretically you shouldn't be able to get pregnant while you're on your period. But it can and does happen. It all depends on your own body.

unfortunately, you are both wrong. there are no really "safe" days. it's different for each female. i suggest you girls use protection all the time, unless you want a higher chance with stds or an unexpected pregnancy.

You are not RITE...
and your friend is not RITE...
no one is RITE...
RITE before is not RITE...
RITE after is not RITE either...
it's not RITE that you should think this
question is RITE to ask because there is
no RITE answer as to whether it's RITE before
or RITE after your period.
If you both think you're RITE and believe you are RITE that there are safe days, then neither one of you are RITE.
I just hope I am rite.

Your friend is right! It is after your period. I think that the egg cell is not yet in the fallopian tube. So there is no chance that you'll get pregnant. I think?
