I think you meant drown right? Fish can die from many reasons like bad water, it didn't eat, temperature, or it just got ill somehow. I remembered we had a big tank of fish that we took care of very well. All of a sudden they died because of mold or something we dont even know.

Yes you can drownd a fish, the same way a person drowns with lack of O2 a fish drowns from lack of DO2. However if you have a filter in the tank no your fish did not drownd due to lack of air. If more than likely died due to something else.

What kind of fish in what kind of tank?

Any certain answer without more info is difficult. Feel free to email me and I will try to help you figure it out.

It might of died of old age, or it's water wasn't filtered properly. Usually fish die because of the pH levels in their water than the owners forget to check every once in a while, unless your fish isn't in a tank, and is the average gold fish, or beta fish. Whatever the case, I'm very sorry for the death of your fish.

No, you can't drown a fish so he must have died from something else. Sorry you lost your fish.
