probably for the sake of her children's well being. so they can have food, clothes, education... but nothing stupid like toys or whatever.. for the well being of their family :)

Sorry, but somehow you'll have to twist a love interest into the mix. That's about the only thing, other than insanity or inheriting money, that will make a woman kill.

People both male and female have the same reasons to kill for money.
Reasons why could be debt, the desire to make a fresh start, to support themselves or to achieve a lavish lifestyle.

Well...the money. But then there are things like greed, the feeling entitlement, resentment...stuff like that. Hope that helps.

I am not a pro on this issue I am just another guy, but if you need help just look up murders where wives have killed their husbands for life insurance payments or inhertience. It may help you see the thinking.

Money motivates male criminals, power motivates female criminals (ala "women's empowerment", powerful people get more attention and social approval etc.). Connect the money to power more for a female killer.
