last time I found a decent mess of mushrooms was about 15 years ago...they would good enough to satisy my appetite forever...

Sounds good. Love mushrooms.
I like to make them with red and green peppers, onions, all sorts of veggies and a touch of brandy. make em burn a touch and ewat. very tasty!

Depends where you are, buddy.
This time of year, they might be appearing along the west coast and throughout the Missouri-Illinois-Tennessee area.

last year i didn't find any. i'm sure hoping for a good bunch this year. will start hunting in a day or 3. i'm used to finding large sponges around here.

They are delicious sauteed in butter & garlic with peppers and onions :)

I can buy them here in the market but hugely expensive to buy fresh....same with chanterelles....but sometimes...I just have to have them
