Your breasts are like any other skin on your body, they need time to "breathe". The time at night that you spend not wearing a bra enables the skin and the nipples to be exposed to oxygen, allowing them to breathe. This releases dead skin cells, lets sweat flow freely from the body without getting trapped by fabrics and is better for your overall health. Also, I don't know if it is true or not, but I have heard that sleeping in a bra causes premature sagging because of the constant pressure on them - letting them relax freely at night is better for the elasticity of your skin.

whether your breast sag or not is more genetic than anything else. Look at your mom and grandma's breast if they sag eventually so will yours. I am a 32 yr old mom of 2 who breastfeed and have a size 36DD breast. I rarley if ever wear a bra at all (only if going to town) and my breasts are just as perky as they were at 15.with no sag at all

I don't know WHO told you that, but it's completely untrue and misinforming. You sleep horizontally so sleeping braless is going to have minimal effects on sagging because gravity is going to affect you mostly from a vertical stand point. Standing vertically, your breasts are pulled downward; in what direction are they being pulled if you are laying on a bed horizontally?? Sideways--I think not.

You're fine. Feel free to sleep braless at night. =]
