I was a supervisor at Sams Club how was fired for not having enough employees in my area, but at the same time i was not allowed to have the required amount on staff.

Try not to hide it. The more poise you show when talking about it the better. When they ask you about your last job be honest and say: "I was fired from my last job because I did not have enough employees in my area, although at the same time I was not allowed to have the required amount on staff. If I had it to do over again and the next time a conflict like that comes up, I will make sure to get it solved rather than just going along with it." Good luck.

You say exactly what you just said right now, you got caught in an unfortunate case of policy. Hiring managers can generally tell if you are telling the truth or making something up, this is too batty to be a lie, I am sure they will believe you.

BTW - most people in their career get fired at least once, not let go or downsized, fired. So you are now joining the ranks of the average American public.
