I have an iMac G5 that i actually got not that long ago and it seems to be acting up. can you restore it to its original store state?

Use the OS disk that came with your computer to reinstall the OS. That will restore it to the original state. Use the "backup and reinstall" option to keep your drivers and preferences in a folder. That way you won't lose any of that stuff and can copy over whatever you need rather than having to reinstall all the drivers and resetting all the preferences.

In OS X 10.5 (coming out very soon, prob. within 2 months) You will be able to do this. You should actually probably wait until the new version comes out. They said the spring of 2007 so hopefully soon.
