Do you even need to ask?

Last year someone would have to be completely stupid to trade Jones and Abreu for Soriano. Abreu played poorly at the beginning of last year because he wanted out of Philly....if I remember correctly there were few that played better than him after the All-Star break. Jones won't hit for the best average in the world but his power numbers (which will be better than Soriano) more than make up for it.

I wish I could find someone to make that trade in my league.

Not so much. The two together are roughly equal to Soriano's numbers alone. And that's assuming that Abreu can match Soriano's speed numbers (which he can't). Soriano is much more valuable in that deal, and moving to a better hitters park than last year (Cubs vs. Nationals). Stick with the Fonz.

wow this is a great trade. Bobby Abreu is undervalued. remeber he has 30/30 potential. and the fonz is 31. thats when pure speed guys lose speed. I predict aorund 35 bags for te fonz. Abreu can get 30. trust me. He will. and He sitll got pop for 25 HRs. and andruw jones in contract year. I could see him hitting .270 with 50HRs.

So lets put it this way.

Player A
.275 120 40 80 35

for

Players B, C
.295 110 25 100 30
.265 90 50 130 0

so whos better??

Abreu is on the downslide and probably won't steal that many bases, Jones has low average. Soriano is about equal to both players and only takes up one position. Don't trade one player to get 2 players who produce the same numbers you already have.

No. Alfonso Soriano is the best in the league.
