They date where the signs change is considered the cusp. It changes days on some years, or on some years the sign changes in the middle of the day. Technically, the cusp is the boundry point between signs.

For example, Virgo ends on September 23rd, and Libra begins on September 24th, generally. In some years the Sun moves into the sign of Libra at 2:52pm (for example) on September 23rd. If you were born before 2:52pm you are a Virgo. If you were born after 2:52pm, you are a Libra. So, September 23rd is the cusp of Virgo and Libra.

With some signs, the actual day that begins the sign may change from year to year.

People born on the "cusp of the sign change" typically exibit the characteristics of one sign much more strongly than the other, but you can't tell, just from the date, which sign that is. A more precise chart reading would need to be completed to determine which sign applies to the individual.

Very few people are actually born on the precise cusp of a sign change. Most people consider themselves to be on the cusp if they are born on the day that a sign changes.

I think you are actually Virgo, I am Sept 23 and I am Libra but we may both be cuspers... I tend to have most of the Libra traits but am very Virgo in business. It depends on which site you go to some sites even have Sept 24 the first day of Libra..... If your lucky you get some Virgo strong traits and some Libra strong traits.... By the way Libra does not have trouble making a decision its just that a Libra can see both sides of the issue and has an overwhelming need to be fair... We are the judges of the zodiac...

The cusp is when you're close to the overlap of two starsigns, meaning that you have traits from both of the starsigns in question. I'm a libra who's nearly a virgo myself, as a matter of fact. Coincidence, eh?

That all depends on whether your birthday is on either September 21, or 22, or 23, otherwise anything before the 21st is all virgo, and everything after the 23rd, is all Libra...I know because I was raised on Astrology by my mother who was born on September 22.........and I'm a Libra, Oct baby, and my closest sister is a Virgo..... Aug 27th.. So depending on the time you were born and all things considered the year and so forth, you also have a rising sign, and other things too.. But It was all way too confusing for me, growing up... so I just get into the whole sign thing, ......In fact, if you only knew how many people in my younger years sign's I have guessed what they were..... And nailed it!!! I got it right! I'm a little "Rusty" now on guessing people's sign's, but I can tell still tell people what their sign's are about , that's how much I was raised-up on it, and know about each sign, individually.. Also if their air, earth, fire, or water. Pretty cool, hoh!! I used to be married to a Virgo, and if he was free to date again, I would in a heart-beat, but he's kind of tied-up right now with some things going on in his life, but he also agreed, later once he's not so busy, to begin dating again..... We had a very good marriage, with no argueing that we couldn't work out you know.. He is a very kind soul, and I'm really "Mellow" and the Peacemaker of all the sign's ......I hate conflict, at all costs!! In fact my last husband was an Aries and man did he just love "Conflict!!" And he use to beat on me, and always raised his voice, in which I just resented him so much for raising his voice to me.....I was so easy to get along with he never ever needed to use force, in anyway shape or form of the word on me, you know.. but see, he never really took the time to eve know me!! Life was always about him, him, him!!! Forget anyone else in the family!! Or our needs for that matter!! So after knowin him 1/2 my life, I finally had had it for the last time, and devorced him, and for good this time, I mean we were off & on, for many years and I remarried between our off period's but I always took him back, and this last time, he helped me through alot when I got hit by a car, and was almost killed. He was there through all of my surgeries and therapies, and so forth, so I stuck things out with him because he was there for me through some pretty rough times.. But , once I was rehabilitated he started his crap again, that's when I had to get out of that marriage, and he still calls and tries to get back with me, and I have to tell myself, "Never again Christy" he's never going to change!!!
