I am so bad at math... here are some geometry questions on my homework.

8. Find the measure of one of the interior angle of a regular:
a) pentagon b) heptagon c) 16-gon

9. J is the center of regular polygon ABCDEFGHI. Find the measures of the angles of DEJ

8. For an n-sided polygon, the sum of the interior angles is
(n-2)*180 deg. Each angle of a regular figure is therefore
(n-2)*180/n deg.
Putting n = 5, 7, 16 in turn gives:
(a) 3*180/5 = 108deg
(b) 5*180/7 = 128.57deg
(c) 14*180./16 = 157.5deg

9. If you join all 9 vertices to J, there are 9 equal angles at the centre, adding up to 360deg (1 full revolution). 360/9 = 40deg each.

Pentagon- [(5 x 180)-360] / 5 = 108 degrees
Heptagon - [(7 x 180) - 360] / 7 = 128.5 degrees
16- Gon - [(16 x 180) - 360] / 16 = 157.5 degrees

360 / 9 = 40 degrees
