The NHL playoff brackets are like the NHL playoff brackets, if you can only relate to things that have 68 teams and 4 regions than maybe you should stop asking hockey questions.

You will not find brackets for the NHL playoffs because brackets do not work. Unlike the NCAA where if a lower seed beats a higher seed they become the new high seed in hockey each round is reseeded with highest seed vs lowest.

In the NCAA you know the winner of 1 vs 16 will play the winner of 8 vs 9 however in NHL 1 v 8 winner wont always play 4/5 winner. IE If one beats eight but two loses to seven then one will play seven even though a bracket would have them play four/five.

Some people make predictions, and playoff pairings are printed, but there is nothing like the NCAA Tournament brackets. For one, the teams play series instead of single games. Secondly, teams are re-seeded after each round, so a paper bracket before the playoffs can be complicated. Also -- in the U.S. anyway -- there isn't the same level of interest. Many people with no interest whatsoever in college basketball play in tournament bracket groups, but even hockey fans in the U.S. don't seem to organize any.

As for Wings vs. Ducks, I don't know. It's a home game for Detroit, but neither team is playing particularly well lately.

No there is not because if the top seed wins then they play the lowest seed that advances.

Then the 2nd place team gets the 2nd lowest seed and so on, the way the NHL playoffs go is not the same style as the NCAA bracket.

Red Wings because they lost in a Shootout to St. Louis and they will want that win back.

After the first round of games the teams are then reseeded to their first round seating.
1 wins over 8
2 wins over 7
6 wins over 3
5 wins over 4
Second round the is 1 vs 6 and 2 vs 5 with the better seed holding the home ice advantage.
