I mean, its not like its our generaion that did it! Why should we have to apologise on the behalf of those bigots 200 years ago? The catholics arent apologising for the inquisition, the puritans arent apologising for the with trials!
Besides, we also stopped the trade! America kept the slave in slavery for another 50 years until their civil war!
Am I alone here?

You are correct. There is no one living today that anything to do with slavery. And there are no ex-slaves alive today.
The whole idea of apologies, or reparations are the creations of politicians and mainstream media. It is their intent to create animosity and hatred.
