They're like furniture stores... they have those "Going Out Of Business Sales" every few months just to get people to check them out... then they drop off for a while, and come back when they get a new load of crap to sell to people.

It is all about making money and thats why they do it,it isnt just rap it is rock n roll also just look at the Rolling Stones,Elton John,and The eagles they all said they were going to retire and never did.

they wanna make money, if that was his last album ever people would want to own it, his new album came out "he's back from retiring" people wanna buy that too
most rappers its all about the money and less about music

They like lots and lots of money. Maybe they believe rumors of retiring will spike sales of their products so they do it for that reason.

bcuz mabe they changed there mind?? nd realized their career is something they wouldnt want to give up. for example eminem said he was gonna take a break for haley and kim but he still raps. the only way to kno for shore is to ask them which would kinda be hard to do.
