I have a desktop and laptop in the bedroom and I have a desktop in the livingroom. I have a DSL connection in the bedroom connected to a modem and wireless router. I can connect my laptop to the wireless but I want to connect my desktop also. How do I do this? What equipment do I need?

One router should allow you to share your internet connection throuhout the house. An additional router is not needed. But your desktop should be hard-wired, for reliability, lower cost... and since it does not MOVE, it just plain makes sense. Set the modem and router up NEAR the desktop.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Just get a wireless card for the Desktop, you should be able to connect multiple wireless PC's to the same router.

You get a wireless network card to put into the desktop to put it on the wireless network. This leaves just one wireless router servicing both machines. Routers by their nature handle omre then one machine. And if you want to extend your roaming around the house with the wireless laptop they have wireless access points as they are called. Just get a wireless card for the laptop.

Hi seems to me all you need is a wireless dongle and then search for the device.
