there is a movie called "the butterfly effect". does the "butterfly effect" mean anything, or did they just come up with the name of that for the movie.

its sort of like the domino effect whatever is meant to happen will happen, even if you change something, it will find a way.
someone in the movie had to die, to save the girl, Ashton Kutcher had to kill himself

Its an idea that something as small as the flapping of a butterfly's wings, can ultimately cause a hurricane on the other side of the world.

the butterfly effect is a scientific terrm. It is when a weather forcaster predicts that on for example monday the temp will be 56 degrees but on monday the temp turns out to be 40 degrees. This change in the weather, changes the accuracy of the predictions made by the weather forcaster. I learned this this year in science. Hope this helps ypu

It's the chaos theory... the theory that something even as small as the flutter of a butterfly's wings can change something around the world... in drastic ways.

A flutter of butterflywings on one side of the world can cause a tsunami on the other side of the earth. Thats the way it was explained in the movie. If you havent seen it, watch it. its good.

A movie with Ashton Kutcher in it and him going back in time and seeing different life stories with him in it like at first he was in jail and then he'll switch to being in a wheel chair with no arms and stuff. It's really confusing and stupid.
