Does anyone think Pitino will leave Louisville?

As a Kentucky fan I wouldn't want him back.

He's not leaving Louisville. He's all of 10 minutes from Churchill Downs where he can race his horses and get paid close to $4 million a year (that's including bonuses and endorsements). Plus, for Louisville fans it's okay to go to the NIT from time to time (they were in the race for a #1 seed to the NIT until they won a few key games in the stretch). We're not talking about the Ricky P. that was in his prime. I'd rather have a Billy Donovan, Billy Gillespie, or John Calipari to be frank about it.

Who knows? My gut tells me no. But back when Pitino was looking for a job, Tennessee was as well. And we all said "go get Pitino!" But the talking heads all said "he'd never coach for a Kentucky rival!"

So who knows what he might do? I doubt he'll leave his successful situation at Louisville. When he came back to the NCAA he was leaving behind a miserable stint in the NBA.

I wouldn't think Pitino would ever go back to coaching at Kentucky... he already won a national championship when he was there before. How could he top that?

I do not think Pitino would leave Louisville. If he did, I really don't think it would be for Kentucky.

But who am I to talk? I thought Bobby Petrino wouldn't leave either!

Why? Louisville is a high profile coaching job without the ridiculous expectations of UK fans, he is the highest paid coach now, you really think Louisville wouldn't match any offer? Besides, UK fans ripped him when he took the UofL job, who'd want to come back?
