You shouldn't starve yourself, because you're depriving yourself of nutrients, which makes you malnutrition.

Besides if you decide to starve yourself for a while, your metabolism will become weak, and it will slow down so, therefore, your food won't digest as quickly, and your body will store more fat and you will gain all the weight you loss while starving yourself back, and then you'll gain more since you have a weak metabolism.

Starving yourself will make you skinny, but once you go back to eating, you will have ruined your body so much that it won't be able to digest food so you will gain weight again, and probably gain more than before.

Don't become a malnutrition, that is just stupid.

What you need to do is get out and exercise, and eat healthy so you can get the 6 essential nutrients that your body needs everyday.

Here is a website so you can see how much of the six essential nutrients you should be eating a day: http://www.mypyramid.gov/

Good luck, and remember, don't become malnutrition! ^_^

When you starve yourself (meaning eat nothing or very little such as a veggie in a day) your body starts holding on to fat and you won't lose any weight for a while, and you gain weight easier when you do decide to eat because your body is holding onto the fat and energy you gain. But eventually you will start to lose the weight and after the fat is gone your body will begin to eat itself. Your muscle will decay and it will eat the glucose in your body. It is a terrible thing to do and is extremly unhealthy so I would strongly sugguest not starving yourself and if you need to lose weight instead using some kind of safe diet. South Beach Diet if you stick to it you can drop about 10 lbs in 2 weeks safely and over time much more weight and it was written by a cardio doctor and is very safe.

That is the opposite of true. I went on a serious diet once called Prism (it worked, and I've kept it off for seven years!), and it said that under about 1000 calories a day, your body goes into starvation mode and hangs on to everything it can. It's also bad from a nutrient point of view, and I've heard that taking vitamins isn't really effective, at least not as effective as eating healthy foods. I know people who like to starve themselves to "clean their system out," and I say it's crap. It's an easy sounding way out, that's all. If you want to lose weight, eat less calories, lots of veggies, exercize, just don't stop altogether. It will just hurt you! Do some research, honey, you will see what I mean.

It won't be fat it's burning. You starve yourself and your body will hold on to ALL stored fat and start burning muscle. It needs the stored fat to protect your vital organs. But even after a while, your organs will begin to shut down and you will have heart failure.

NEVER starve yourself. There are MUCH better ways to diet.

It will only take a few hours I believe. When you are asleep even, and you did not eat you wake up still feeling hungry and you will lose weight in a day's notice. Also when you are asleep, your metabolism is slowed down, but you swallow a fair amount when you are dozing. This sends a signal to the brain that tells it that you at something that needs to be digested. This then makes your stomach growl. You aren't digesting anything so it feeds off of your fat and proteins.

The opposite is true. If you starve yourself, your body goes into a safe mode and tries to conserve fat. Starvation will make it harder to lose weight because it dramatically lowers your metabolism. Exercising raises your metabolism and is a more effective and healthy way to lose weight.

just the opposite. if you starve yourself, your body goes into starvation mode and hangs on to every calorie it can. it's from when we had to forage for food. women do it more than men because we have the babies. when your body runs out of fat to burn, it goes for muscle tissue, which is why anorexics die of heart attacks. their bodies are living off heart muscle. eat a well balanced diet with proper portions, drink lots of water, and exercise at least 30 minutes each day.

If you want to lose weight, the best way will be to eat right (try not to over eat) and try to exercise at least 30-45 minutes at least 4-5 days a week. You will be doing more harm than good if you try starving yourself, its just not healthy.

please do not accept any more "advice" from that source. the information that was given to you was erroneous at best, starving the body halts fat loss it does not accelerate it. you have to eat enough of the right foods on a regular basis and get plenty of exercise to get the body into fat burning mode.
