I've used bleach on stained mugs with no problems, just let it stand for awhile, then put in the dishwasher or wash very well by hand. I wouldn't suggest using bleach on silverware, it may discolor it more, or "pit" it.

I reguarly use bleach to clean tea stains off my mugs. Salt or bicarbonate of soda are particuarly good as well, fill a container with bicarb and hot water and simply stand your cutlery in, leave to soak for an hour and the stains should wipe of easily, with salt just rub on the stained area and rinse. If you use any of these then rinse thoroughly or your next cup of tea wont be very pleasant.

I use it all the time as I don't use milk; black tea and coffee stain badly.
Put a few drops of bleach in the bottom of the cup and fill it up with water. Leave it over night and wash it thoroughly the next day. If you've several cups you need to bleach, just pour the dilute bleach from the clean cup to the dirty one.

It's fine, never had a problem with it so long as lots of soapy water is used to clean afterwards. Even gets rid of the stains which appear in the teaspoon scars in the china.

Yes, a bit of bleach in some hot, soapy water is okay once in awhile. I do this on a regular basis. Just be sure to rinse well; and you can also use one of those sponges with a bit of net around it to get the stains off too, occasionally.

its OK for the mugs but the teaspoons may not like it , dilute as per the instructions for soaking clothes and leave the mugs in overnight and wash well in the morning.

Yes, I do it often. Just be sure to rinse very thoroughly. Soaking in diluted bleach is also good for cleaning very dirty pans too, but again rinse thoroughly.
