Short answer - YES.

Yes it is best to uninstall the previous one and then install the new one. The reason for that is that some real time antivirus scanning processes will be considered as a backdoor or trojan by a different antivirus program (SAV vs Mcafee) so get rid of the first one and try another one :)

Yes definitely uninstall the previous one. Basically they will see each other as viruses.

AVG is actually rated as being better than a lot of anti-virus programs that you have to buy, so I would check out forums to see if the new one you are trying is any good before you uninstall AVG.

Hope that helps!

As all of us recognize that it is wide-spread to uninstall a software from upload/do away with courses record. yet a great style of the time, some software won't record/be uninstalled from upload/do away with courses or with its equipped-in uninstaller. at the instant, it is amazingly had to uninstall it with a professional uninstaller to circumvent some left-over documents interior the drives or registry. Of all the uninstallers I even have used, suited Uninstaller is the single that i like plenty. The "tension Uninstall" function facilitates us to uninstall courses that are no longer interior the upload/do away with courses record, this is amazingly suitable in uninstalling corrupted software. So choose you stable success!

Yes. You can't really run two anti-viral programs at once. I remember reading something that explained why you shouldn't have two anti-viral programs on your computer but I can't remember exactly what the article said. Just remember that it said you shouldn't because they interfere with each other or something! As for the person above saying they have Ad-Aware and Norton, that is fine because Ad-Aware is not an anti-virus program - it is a anti-spyware program!!

yes you should. Although nothing would REALLY go wrong, there can be some complications. The only time you dont want to uninstall an older product is when you are updating that specific product.

yes... when you install multiple anit virus programs they will start to conflict with each other effectivly cancelling the other out leaving your system wide open to attacks...

plus trial versions of a\v's only offer so much protection and the avg program that you are using is probably one of the best a\v's out there, so personally i would stick with that!

If you want to install a new virus program you must remove the older one you have.Otherwise you will wind up with not having virus protection on your computer as they will get messed up and both try to start when you start your computer.

I didn't and it seems OK.I already had Norton and I added Adwareaway and no problems. I understand that sometimes one programme can combat another but it's not happened to me.

You don't HAVE to. But I certainly would!! Having more than one anitvirus or security program running at one time is kinda like asking for trouble.
