Hi everyone hates me cause I am a cheerleader and everyone thinks I'm mean and I am not mean!!
Do you know why they hate me cause they think I'm mean and I'm not at all the cheerleaders are my only friends cause they think I'm cool and I try to be friends with my old best friend and she was my friend when I was at 3rd grade and we been friends forever but when I joine the cheerleader's she won't talk to me and I just want my friends back!!!!!!

Helen, i can see where the problem is. You wont go anywhere telling friends that "you are NOT mean." Follow ACTION not WORDS. What you can do is to have a nice chat with your old friends. You know, maybe invite them for dinner or the movies. (if you go to the movies you should buy the tickets so they will know you are nice and want to be friends again)
I cant say anymore because its up to you and your personality to determine your new friendship. I recommend you and your friends to start from the begginning of a new friendship and FORGET the past. If my advice does not work, then your friends are not true friends. Because true friends forgive each other, right? If they do not forgive you or talk to you, find better friends that are "true." Your old friends were just jeolous of you and your new friends.

Hmm your perspective is very different from the one society gives you, chances are your old best friend and your old friends are feeling left out and/or jealous that you are a cheerleader because let's face it, the cheerleaders get a lot more attention than just common students. If you'd like your old friends back maybe try explaining to them how it makes you feel that they reject you just because you're a cheerleader. Or maybe express how much you miss them because honesty never hurts. Do you act differently around each group? Sometimes that's the problem because of peer pressure. Good luck!

People have a misconception about cheerleaders. They may not necessarily hate you but just do not understand you. There is not much you can do to deal with ignorant people. Sounds like they are disassociating you just because you are a cheerleader. Just continue to be yourself and try to talk to your old friend or friends. Cheerleaders are actually some of the nicest people you will meet and hopefully they will learn this in time.

Being a true friend means to accept a person whether they are a cheerleader or not. And the other way round.
But maybe you just THINK that they hate you, and it's not so really?

Obviously your old best friend hasn't accepted you have become a cheerleader, Maybe it is jeliously because of all the cool moves that cheerleaders can do, I think alot of people are either envious of cheerleaders or they think it is gay, I think some people think cheerleaders are part of a ***** fiest culture, so I have heard. I would have been one, but if those people can't accept you for you, they are not worth being friends with, stick with those people who accept you and share your interests.

It happens in every school. Usually people hate cheerleaders because they are so popular where they are just normal kids. You are not mean but they think you are. You should juust stand up for yourself and talk to your best friend from 3rd grade and ask her why she doesn't like you. They also may hate you because they THINK that you are so popular now that you forgot about them so they just left you.
If you ever leave cheerleading make sure you tell your friend and tell her you're leaving cheerleading. I forgot but also ask your friends what do you have to do in order for them to let you be their friend again. Just a note remember that if they never talk to you they are not true friends. Friends are people who support you.

It's because, in all the american movies and series, the cheerleaders are the mean bitchy people who everyone hates because they have everything. You have proved to me already that you are not like that because you actually asked why people treat you like this, instead of goin something like, 'They're intimidated by my beauty' or something stuck up like that. Why not prove to people that you are not like that and do nice things for everyone and not just your cheerleading "friends". Good luck and I hope this helps x

P.P.S. If it is your old friend's birthday soon, why not make a big thing of it and throw her a party or something like that. she will love you for it.

Do you think maybe it's you who have changed? You seem to be truly wrapped up in being a cheerleader and that's nice but I think you've gotten a big head over it. Ask your friends why the see to want to pull away from you. Good Luck

jus talk to her and see wats up . make her understand that you stil want to be her best friend .. and jus because your a cheerleader doesnt mean you cant stop bein friends. get her to understand were your coming from and that your still the same person the only thing different is that your a cheerleader. You should also try to spend more time for her and spend some time together.

Sorry to hear that you feel your friends think you are mean. If your old friends distant from you because you are a cheerleader then rethink about what friendshiop means. Maybe they are not worth your friendship, Hmm?
