The best to me is Buddy Guy!
I really like Kenny Wayne Shepard alot he can wail!!!!
I was thrilled when I first heard Johnny Lang the lie to me cd was really good. But his 2nd cd was not much blues to me. More like he was scared to stick with his roots..blues.
Eric Clapton did the same...I am so glad he came back to the blues!!!!! He is also in my top 20! But I have to still say no one plays a guitar and sings like Buddy Guy he is awesome..was doing music before Hendrix..Hendrix cancelled his own gig yrs back to see Buddy Guy he was Hendrix favorite guitar player!
And Eric Clapton called Buddy Guy the best guitar player! Now those R huge compliments..and well deserved!

Johnny Lang is darn good but he is still working to get the real spirit behind the voice. He is just a little kid though, and according to his interviews he is humble knowing he has the gift but not the experience. He needs time to mellow out to the quality of BB !
Every guitarist I named here has given me the chills in person at some point. They are all just dynamite!
